Welcome!

I’m Holly

A homebody with a sweet tooth

I’m a stay at home wife and mother based out of rural Ohio that has been smitten with all things home and slow, cottage living. As a homebody I love being in my home spending time with friends and family. I prioritize creating easy, better-for-you, fresh milled flour treats to eat and comfy, cozy, life-giving spaces to enjoy. With both an Amish heritage and a sweet tooth, I can’t deny that baking is in my blood!

Thanks for coming over, I hope you stay awhile!

Healthier baked goods and slower living doesn’t have to be hard or time consuming. I’m here to show you that if I can do it, then you certainly can too!

Behind the blog

How it all started

I’ve been baking a long time, I grew up baking with my mom (thanks to her Amish heritage), but I had started baking with fresh milled flour and wanted to gain more confidence with it. A sweet friend of mine encouraged me to put myself out there and start a blog so I could share my successes and show others that if I could do it so could anyone else! I wanted to share my love of baking with fresh milled flour and also my love of decorating my home, thus Heritage Made Home was born! I’m so glad you’re here to read and hopefully enjoy some new recipes and ideas, thanks for stopping by!
